C.K. TAP The cost of a Catholic education grows substantially each year, and much of that cost is passed on to parents of our students in the form of tuition. Some of our Christ the King families are fortunate in that they have the resources to pay the tuition. But others are faced with substantial sacrifice in providing a Catholic education for their children. Some families are experiencing severe hardships due to medical difficulties or job-related changes and find they cannot pay the tuition they once had been able to pay. While Christ the King Parish is generous in subsidizing the school, the fact remains that some families are simply finding it impossible to pay all or even part of the tuition costs. A new program called the “Christ the King Tuition Assistance Program,” or CK TAP, has been created to help in this area. Parishioners and local businesses have been generous with their tax deductible contributions which are used to pay all or part of the tuition for students whose parents are unable to pay. CK TAP is also the beneficiary of several fund-raising events held throughout the year at Christ the King.

The Kroger Community Rewards program allows parents and their friends and families to earn tuition credit by shopping at Kroger. If you are not a C.K. parent or do not wish to designate a recipient, the credit can be assigned to C.K. Tap.
In order to participate in the program you must complete and return the forms to the school office and you must link your Kroger Plus card to Christ the King School online at www.krogercommunityrewards.com.

What Is Scrip? Scrip is a term that means “substitute money”. When you purchase scrip, you’re purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.
How scrip generates revenue for you The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. Our organization buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount from two to fifteen percent or more – is our organization’s revenue.
Scrip is "shopping cart fundraising” Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don’t have to sell anything. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.
Find Out More Ask your scrip coordinator listed below for the latest participating retailer list. Then put your shopping dollars to work for our organization!
